Freedom &
Internet Privacy

In response to repeated threats to private communications and strong encryption from EU initiatives, SOL12 works to defend freedom of expression and online anonymity.

We fund, secure, and operate reliable Tor relays in Switzerland. Based outside the European Union, our infrastructure supports neutral routing and helps strengthen the Tor network.

The SOL12 Manifesto

Four principles guide our work and the infrastructure we operate.

01

Unconditional Encryption

Strong encryption protects fundamental rights. We reject backdoors, deliberate weakening of encryption, and indiscriminate scanning of personal devices.

02

No Persistent Logs

What is never recorded can never be compromised, seized, or leaked. Our nodes run entirely in volatile memory (RAM) and generate no persistent log files.

03

Sovereign Neutrality

Our servers are based in Switzerland, under a stable legal framework that protects privacy. We support independent infrastructure and oppose mass surveillance.

04

Dedicated to the Common Good

We run these relays independently, funding them ourselves and volunteering our time to strengthen the global Tor network for journalists, activists, and people worldwide.
